What We Offer

Services

Evidence-based psychological therapy for adults across the Illawarra, delivered by a team who draw on more than one way of working.

Our Approach

Everyone who comes to see us is different, but most people arrive with some version of the same feeling: stuck. Whether that's constant worry, a mind that won't switch off, or a life that's quietly shrunk around avoidance, we draw on a range of evidence-based approaches — including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy — chosen and tailored to what actually fits you, rather than a single one-size-fits-all model.

Below is an overview of what we work with and how. If you're not sure whether something fits, the simplest next step is just to get in touch and ask.

Conditions & Concerns

Stress & Burnout

When everyday life feels overwhelming — work pressure, caring responsibilities, a to-do list that never ends — it can be hard to tell where normal stress ends and burnout begins. We help you make sense of what’s driving it, build self-compassion instead of self-criticism, and find room again for the things you deeply care about, rather than just pushing through.

Generalised Anxiety

Persistent, intense worry that’s hard to switch off can interfere with sleep, relationships, and day-to-day decisions. We help you understand the patterns keeping the worry cycle going, and build practical skills to change your relationship with it — not eliminate uncertainty, but stop it running the show.

Social Anxiety

Fear of judgement or negative evaluation can quietly shrink a person’s world — avoided invitations, rehearsed conversations, exhausting self-monitoring. We work with you to build the capacity to tolerate social discomfort and re-engage with relationships and situations that matter to you.

Panic Attacks

Sudden, intense physical sensations — racing heart, breathlessness, a feeling of losing control — can be frightening enough that avoidance starts to feel like the only option. We help you understand what’s actually happening in your body during panic, and build skills to reduce both the attacks themselves and the avoidance that builds up around them.

OCD

Intrusive thoughts and the rituals or checking behaviours that follow can start to take over daily life. We work with evidence-based approaches to help you understand the function of these patterns and reduce their grip, at a pace that respects how distressing they can be.

Specific Phobias

When a fear becomes intense enough to drive real avoidance — flying, heights, medical procedures, and so on — it can limit choices in ways that build up quietly over time. We help you understand what’s maintaining the fear and work toward greater freedom, at a pace you’re part of setting.

PTSD & Trauma

Flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, and avoidance after a traumatic experience can be genuinely debilitating. We work with people processing both single-incident trauma and more complex or prolonged experiences, helping you make sense of what happened and rebuild a sense of safety and meaning.

Eating Disorders & Body Image

Our team has experience supporting people with disordered eating and difficult relationships with food and body image, using evidence-based approaches recognised in this area.

Grief & Loss

Grief doesn’t move in a straight line, and there’s no fixed timeline for it. We provide a space to process loss — of a person, a relationship, an ability, or a future you’d expected — without pressure to "move on" faster than feels right.

Chronic Pain & Health Conditions

Living with ongoing pain or a chronic health condition affects far more than the body. We help people build the practical skills to keep pain or illness from taking up more space than it needs to in a life that can still hold meaning and connection.

Inclusive, Affirming Care

We're committed to providing affirming, non-judgemental care for LGBTQIA+ clients, and for anyone whose identity, relationships, or life circumstances fall outside a narrow "default" of what therapy clients are assumed to look like. If you've had a difficult experience with a mental health professional in the past because of this, we'd encourage you to reach out and ask questions before booking, if that would help.
