Joy is a clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals in a range of mental health settings including private practice, community mental health, inpatient and outpatient and not-for-profit services. These varied settings have shaped her appreciation for the complexity of people’s lived experiences, and the importance of meeting each client with curiosity, compassion and genuine care.

Joy also has a particular interest in working with eating disorders, disordered eating and body image concerns, and is a nationally recognised eating disorder clinician with the Australian and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED).
Joy’s approach to therapy utilises a range of evidence-based treatments including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Joy aims to create a safe and non-judgemental therapeutic space where all clients feel respected, validated and supported throughout their healing journey. This includes prioritising an environment that affirms all genders, sexualities, ethnicities, cultures, abilities and neurotypes.
